Are you tired of long, tedious accounts of Breaking Bad episode recaps? Then look no further than Breaking Half: a weekly column that takes the good and bad from each week's episode of Breaking Bad and dilutes it down to the core necessities. Each Monday, Breaking Half will attempt to take a few key moments from the episode and boil it down to one juicy paragraph.
Season 4, Episode 7"Problem Dog"
No, you know what, why I'm here in the first place,
is to sell you meth! You're nothing to me but
customers! I made you my bitch! You okay with that?"
-Jesse (Aaron Paul)
While Skyler (Anna Gunn) runs the car wash, Walter (Bryan Cranston) is in charge of returning Walt Jr.'s (R.J. Mitte) car. Instead, he decides to wreck it. Jesse (Aaron Paul) talks to Walter about possibly killing Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) with some ricin. His opportunity comes when Gus, Mike (Jonathan Banks) meet with the cartel to discuss business. He doesn't do it. Later on, Hank (Dean Norris) treats Walt Jr. to some Los Pollos Hermanos only to get evidence of Gus's fingerprints. Jesse heads back to rehab in which he decides to admit that his only motive for showing up was to sell meth. Hank talks with Gomez (Steven Michael Quezada) and the D.E.A. about the case of Gale (David Costabile) being one of Heisenberg's old cooks. They don't believe that Gus is related to the case until Hank pulls out evidence of his fingerprints in Gale's notebook.

And just like that, Hank is back on the case. He has been down for a few weeks, but that has only given him time to do some exploration. Being sly, he manages to steal Gus' fingerprints and present the evidence to the D.E.A. in ways that suggest that Hank isn't an ordinary cop. He knows his business and wants to do the best job imaginable. We have seen Hank go above and beyond before, but rarely this in depth when it came to the case. As long as he keeps it up, we're looking at one great big reveal in the case somewhere down the line that will prove his worth once and for all.

Best scene: Throughout the series, we have seen Jesse in and out of rehab so frequently that it isn't a surprise to see him come back. His tortured soul just has to bare all of his truths in a world that doesn't judge him. However, when everything else is out in the air, he comes clean about why he was really there: to sell them meth. Jesse has accepted long ago that he is the bad guy, but to finally share that with the group is something amazing and new. It almost assures that he could never return. This only makes me fear that without rehab options, he'll only downward spiral, especially with killing Gale on his conscience.
Come back tomorrow when we recap "Hermanos"
