The Golden Globe-winning comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns for a second season of hilarity and crime. After an impressive first season that chronicled one of the best new ensembles solving problems and forming unexpected relationships, the series is back to tackle bigger things. Will it be as great as the first season? Stay tuned every Wednesday for the recap on that week's episode to find out through interesting tidbits including the best jokes and what the crew is up to that week.
Crime of the Week: Peralta (Andy Samberg) must help to keep Jeffords (Terry Crews) pregnancy a secret from his co-workers.
Peralta Problem: While proving to be a little challenging, Peralta must convince everyone that Jeffords is not having a child despite hiding it very poorly.

Subplot of the Week: Santiago (Melissa Fumero) and Holt (Andre Braugher) go on a stakeout to get a criminal while bonding over menial things.
Best Joke: When Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) realizes that he can abuse Peralta's services in order to keep Jeffords' secret, he forces him to wash his dogs. It doesn't go well with one of them aggressively rubbing up against his leg.

Culprit: Nobody. Everyone finds out.
Resolution: Jeffords secret gets out, even if ends up not meaning much. Holt and Santiago catch their criminal. Everything works out for better or worse.
Verdict: It's great to see that there's continuity on the show. However, I don't think that there's too much that was exciting or interesting about the episode. The Holt/Santiago subplot was fine, but it didn't have as great of chemistry as its premise would have promised. Meanwhile, it was great to see Jeffords and Peralta interacting together once again to hide a very strange secret from everybody else. Otherwise, I don't know that there's much to really call memorable about the episode that hasn't been done before. It is fine, but not necessarily one of the best.
Rating: 3 out of 5
