Left to right: Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero and Andre Braugher
The Golden Globe-winning comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns for a second season of hilarity and crime. After an impressive first season that chronicled one of the best new ensembles solving problems and forming unexpected relationships, the series is back to tackle bigger things. Will it be as great as the first season? Stay tuned every Wednesday for the recap on that week's episode to find out through interesting tidbits including the best jokes and what the crew is up to that week.

Crime of the Week: Desperate to solve something, Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) teams up with Donger (Ed Helms) to figure out a drug smuggling mission.

Andy Samberg
Peralta Problem: While trying to solve the crime, Peralta must learn to work with Donger, whom he doesn't get along with.

Left to right: Crews and Fumero
Subplot of the Week: Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), with her from her precinct, must manage to quit smoking without it ruining her life.

Joel McKinnon Miller
Best Joke: After convincing his coworkers that they missed his party, Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) celebrates with a hearty drink. The only issue is that it is his mug full of thumbtacks.

Culprit: A whole bunch of people dealing drugs in an abandoned warehouse.

Resolution: Santiago doesn't get over smoking, but is working really hard to. Peralta manages to solve the crime and end his partnership with Donger.

Chelsea Peretti
Verdict: Another really strong episode with two rather solid stories. I like it when the crimes of the episode tend to resemble a logical and real enough crime that it requires some work to solve. While Donger is no The Falcon, it will do for a brief time as they solve a very silly case. The quick action that plays over the credits is a little jarring compared to the comedy before, but it works nicely for the finale of seeing Donger knocked on the floor. Meanwhile, having a Santiag-centric subplot is excellent, as it allowed for a lot of great gags revolving around quitting smoking. One of the better ones includes a flashback to Holt (Andre Braugher) betting on horses. A very strong episode full of memorable moments thanks to a really weird keys story.
