Inventory: May 2014

Welcome to Inventory: a monthly column in which we take a moment to look back at the past few weeks and highlight articles that I have written that may be worth a second glance. Comments: The veteran animated comedy celebrated a milestone with 25 years on the air and while it didn't hold the steam that it once had, it was better than you'd think. With an increasingly diverse cast and some creative episodes, the series is now a weird but fun art project that at least enjoys its weirdness.

Comments: One of the biggest surprises of the summer is that the best film has already come out and proven its dominance: Godzilla. Maybe it is my love of monster movies, but it packs a punch with plenty of love for Japan's favorite giant lizard.
