Welcome to Inventory: a monthly column in which we take a moment to look back at the past few weeks and highlight articles that I have written that may be worth a second glance. From the archives of Optigrab, The Oscar Buzz, and CinemaBeach, the following is what I feel to be the Top 10 articles that I have written in any given month and feel the need to highlight. Also covered will be any known details on what will be coming up in the month ahead. So without further ado, let's take inventory and see what I have to say.

Comments: With the HBO series wrapping up its third season, it has managed to figure out what it wants to do and exactly how to execute it. It continues to become a complicated, beautiful look at the complexities of being in the mid-20's and trying to identify yourself.

Comments: While the series itself tends to wane with a lot of problematic elements, the final half of Parks and Recreation season 6 did plenty to right its wrongs and finish strong. Most of all, it manages to prove its worth by making us understand why we continue to come back every week and won't mind them coming back for one more season.

Comments: As a lifelong fan of The Simpsons, I have stuck through the show's highs and lows and have plenty to say about the upcoming episode regarding their crossover with LEGO. As a whole, The Simpsons aren't as funny as it used to be, but it has become an artist's medium, which makes is a surreal experimentation in culture.

Comments: April was a great month for the best films of 2014 with the likes of Joe and Under the Skin. The latter is a really trippy film that is likely to be largely in discussion for the remaining months.

Comments: Has Community reached its apex of necessity to this universe, or is it contempt with pandering to that "nerd" audience? Either way, the series ends the season with little hope of keeping me interested in that six seasons and a movie promise.

Comments: There has been a lot of conversation about late night talks shows as of late with the most recent being Craig Ferguson's exit (not covered). However, I bet that nobody cares because the model has changed considerably while the talk show has remained consistent and of its time.

Comments: On the flip side of the late night talk show debate, John Oliver makes his debut with Last Week Tonight, and it is hilarious. The only question is if his candor can survive week-to-week with its bare bones structure as present in the first episode.

Comments: Of every high school film that came out in the 00's, Mean Girls has managed to transcend the time and culture by feeling fresh and relevant. There were a lot of interesting elements that brought its success, including Jayne Mansfield's car.

Comments: Not much is known about the film that premiered at Sundance except that it looks really good. But can Richard Linklater make his most ambitious film into a potential Oscar contender?
